Supreme Court Rules Death Penalty Is 'Totally Badass'
This semester, I had the pleasure of having class with, and writing for, Professor Mike Benza. Mike teaches criminal law and several classes relating to the death penalty and habeas litigation. Even though he has a full schedule of classes, Mike still practices and represents death row inmates in state court and in federal habeas corpus litigation. Last semester, he argued in front of the Supreme Court of the United States.
I write this post today for two reasons: one, to share the above video that my colleague, and good friend, found a few weeks ago. I am a sucker for satire and dark humor, and this may be the funniest and darkest thing I've seen in a long while.
I also write to bring a bit more depth to this blog. Although it is fun to look at shoes and fashion, I am soon to be a law school graduate and (hopefully) a practicing attorney. Throughout this semester my views of the death penalty have changed dramatically, and although I won't go into the "nitty-gritty" now, I bring this video to you to perhaps start discussions.
Have a wonderful sunday- enjoy the last few hours of this weekend before we plow into another M-F.
