Civil Wars.

No, not this kind:
and not the kind that happen because of this guy:

I'm talking about the ever-delightful band behind the studio album, Barton Hollow.  Comprised of Joy Williams and John Paul White, it's an indie folk band I can't get enough of. Seriously, on repeat drive to and from work.
'Poison and Wine' is the song currently (and happily) stuck in my head.

P.S. Can we also talk about how much I love the decor in the Music Video House?
xoxo

Tardy Glee Post

Study Break.  I cannot express how much I loved the Glee finale!  I'm super sad that they didn't win, but super happy about the buildup (or should I say Journey) to Regionals Next year!  I loved the Journey Medley and think that the version of 'Don't Stop Believing' was infinitely better on the finale than on the first show (mostly because someone other than Fin and Rachel were highlighted).  I cannot wait for more Puck, Santana, Rachel, Fin, Artie, Quinn, Mr. Schuester, Mercedes, and mostly Kurt and Sue Sylvester next Season!
Enjoy the Season Finale show-stopper Medley below (which was way far better than Vocal Adrenaline's!)

Study Music. Pt. II

Mc Solaar- La Belle et le Bad Boy:

Yesterday, I studied to Lady Antebellum.  Today, it's Jay-Z and the above Gem, French Rapper Mc Solaar.  I first heard this song during the last season of Sex and the City (When Aleksandr Petrovsky leaves Carrie at the art gallery and she runs off to her book party that has already ended, and then Petrovsky slaps her and then Big rescues her... but, that's a post for another day).  I LOVE LOVE LOVE studying to music like this that has a great beat.  As ridiculous as it sounds, my fingers need some sort of rhythm to type to, and this provides the perfect tempo.  And as a plus, I can't understand any of the lyrics.  I also love the below song- I just incorporated "la vie est belle" into one of my paintings-in-progress.  Happy Studying to those in the midsts of reading weeks and final exams; Happy listening to those of you who are not!
